SMHC Awards

WHAT A YEAR!
 
The Sackville Minor Hockey Club Annual Awards Ceremony is fast approaching.
 
To ensure that we continue to have strong representation from all areas of our club, we need your help. Do you know someone who is deserving of one of these awards?
 
As a respected member of the SMHC, you’re in a position to identify other people who make things happen in our club. Please help identify key individuals in the different areas where they bring value to SMHC. Start a conversation! If it helps, get together with other members of your team over the coming ice times to discuss and recommend names. List as many different names as possible; an individual may be nominated for more than one award. Please take a moment to fill out the enclosed nomination form for the following awards:
 

• The Edmund LeBlanc Award for unselfish dedication to SMHC during2013/14.
• The Skip MacPhee Memorial Award for referee of the year.
• The Haines Award for SMHC corporate sponsor of the year.
• The David Sears Memorial Award for many years of unselfish dedication to SMHC.
• The Alan Wells Memorial Award for manager of the year.
• The Raymond Wheaton Memorial for the most dedicated player in Atom House League.
• The Coach of the Year Award.
• The David Acton Award for the player of the year who demonstrates leadership ability, and volunteers within and outside the club.
• TRHS Student SMHC Volunteer of the Year.
• The John Alexander Goalie of the Year Award.

 
Keep the tradition going strong by helping us nominate top quality leaders in our program.
 
To send your nomination(s) by email, or if you need additional information, please contact me at alward@mta.ca Need paper copies? Ask your manager or let me know – paper copies can be given to your Manager or dropped off in the mail slot at the Equipment Room at the rink.
 
Nominations must be returned by March 24, 2014.
 
The date, time and location of the ceremony will be communicated soon.
